À propos de l'événement

“My mother told me that on that very night, she witnessed Āminah ibn Wahb give birth to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, “Every single thing I laid my eyes on inside the house was illuminated. I would notice the stars drawing so close that it would seem as if they were about to fall on me.” "Before his birth, the Prophet’s (saw) mother, Aaminah, was conscious of a light within her when she was pregnant with him, which on the day of His (saw) birth shone from her so intensely that she could see the castles and palaces of the Levant." The most famous historians have written countless books and narrations such as these about the beautiful and momentous occasion of the birth of the beloved Muhammad, may God continue to nourish his light and our connection to him. Across the world, and for many centuries people have remembered and honored this moment. The world witnessed something truly epic, and beautiful beyond words; the rise of Light. The moment the Shining Sun of Guidance, The Beloved, ennobled and safeguarded was born! A moment that we honor every year at our annual Rabi' Awwal celebrations at the Rhoda Masjid. This year, once more, we would like to invite you on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 27TH at 5:30 am to join us in silent meditation, prayer, and song contemplating the sunrise of the 12th of Rabi' Awwal while allowing the sun of guidance to rise within our own hearts. The first 30 minutes will be a silent meditation followed by Dawn prayers (Fajr) and songs recounting the story of his birth and life and a potluck breakfast to begin the beautiful day. Make sure to register to let us know you are coming, this helps us and our volunteers.
