Deep Roots Farm Club

The Deep Roots Farm Club is a series of four sessions every Thursday evening from July 18 to August 8 (6-8pm) for a group of youth to experience the gifts of nature and engage with food mindfully (from growing, harvest to eating). 

Age Group: 11-17 yrs-old 

Counselors: Assma and Masuma from the Rhoda Masjid & Foundation, Julia from Just Food and Stephane from the Rhoda's Zahra Farm (on lot 50!)

Special guests include: Hamdi Ben Aissa founder of the Rhoda Masjid/Foundation, Henrik Vierula & occasional visit with farmers from the different farms from the Just Food community!

Program: 

6-6:15 Gathering at the red barn 

6:15-7 Just Food garden fence activity or Rhoda farm activity 

7-7:30 Packed dinner sandwiches sit-down 

7:30-8 Walk & talk/ closing circle 

8:10-8:30 Departure at the red barn 

Rain: We have access to an indoor space at the barn in case of rain & alternate activity
