Growing in Love is the family-friendly community program of the Rhoda in which we nurture in attendees (old and young) a growth in their Love and alignment with The Source of all beauty, Allah, in harmony with the most beautiful being of all, Prophet Muhammad - May God continue to nourish his light and our love for him. This year, we will have the beautiful Salahbration edition of Growing in Love in Rajab, the month in which we celebrate the anniversary of the Gift of Salah. We would love to teach our young ones that Salah is a Gift of Love and connection. A tool that helps us grow in Love, grow to become better people, and grow in Joy. Through prayer, we strive towards peace, patience, connection, and the pursuit of goodness, truth, and beauty, as encouraged in the Holy Scripture: 'يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ' [2:153]. A Salahbration commemorates a significant milestone for a child turning seven. At this age, we joyously introduce them in a very light and beautiful way to the cherished practice of Salah, in alignment with Prophet Muhammad's teachings, may peace and blessings be upon him. He guided us that children should start learning about sacred rituals and prayers at age seven. Come as you do weekly, with a song to share, perhaps even around this beautiful theme of Salah, Prayer, the power of prayer, the beauty and Gift of prayer. You may bring a snack or sweet to share with everyone (sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free alternatives are a beautiful extra act of Love we encourage). And come celebrate Growing in Love of Prayer. Below is the program: 11 am: Welcome 11:10 - 11:40 am: Songs and Duaa (prayers) from Growing in Love 11:45 am: The story of Israa and Mi'raj 12:10 pm: A word from this year's Salaahbration children 12:30 pm: Salabration closing remarks 1:00 pm: Dhuhr Prayer with the celebrated children joining the prayer 1: 15 pm: Sharing sweets and treats (potluck) 2 pm: Clean Up _Invitation for Parents of Salahbration children_ *Parents and Guardians * Do you have a child who has turned 7 this year?
