Book Club: Deepening Community

This book club is an invitation for those interested in investing themselves in deepening community to discover or rediscover the joy of being together. Like any investment, community takes time and effort. We spend years investing for our retirement, setting aside dollars in order to live a good life in our old age. Our financial investors tell us to start this process early, when we are young in order to have enough when we are old. 

Investing in relationships to deepen community reaps a similar benefit. A strong family, a faith community or club, neighbors we can rely on, and friends who make the hours pass quickly - these are equally worthy investments. The skills we learn by seeking and living in community, and the network of relationships we build, will provide us with the joy and security we need, especially should we experience times of loneliness, financial insecurity, or failing health. 

All are welcome to join. This discussion will take place in a mixed setting, and is better suitable for adults & youth 15+ 

A NOTE ON YOUTH ATTENDANCE: While youth are welcome to register, it is important they register themselves. We kindly ask that parents do not register on behalf of their youth. We encourage parents to foster a discussion with them regarding this activity but the registration must come from them.  Trust that even if they aren't ready for this activity, they will surely open up to other opportunities when the time is right for them.
